Description
The BSc (Hons) Sport Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage degree includes core modules within the fields of strength and conditioning, rehabilitation and sports massage, as well as modules in the underpinning sports-science disciplines of physiology, psychology and biomechanics.
Work-based learning is a key element of the final year of study, to enable students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and to gain value experience to use as a foundation for future employment.
Furthermore, the learning outcomes for modules across the programme are clearly linked to the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA), and British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) competencies and role delineations, leaving students well placed to pursue accreditations with these professional bodies upon graduation. The programme is also approved by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as part of the Education Recognition Program and also an approved school with the Sports Massage Association (SMA). This enables students to gain an SMA accredited L4 qualification in Sport Massage and Soft Tissue practices through completion of the appropriate modules.
