Our academics are experts in their field and are therefore regularly featured in the media offering their expertise and opinions on current issues and affairs:

Dr Mark Shanahan is frequently interviewed about US politics.  He has appeared on CNN, BBC, Sky News, ITV Meridian, France 24, ABC Australia, CTV Canada, Russia Today, Al  Jazeera, BFBS and Heart Radio. In recent broadcasts he has discussed various aspects and events of Donald Trump's presidency, as well as the UK's passage towards Brexit.
Dr Jonathan Golub has given a number of interviews concerning Brexit. He was recently interviewed by Voice of Islam Radio to discuss the UK's withdrawal and the dynamics of British-EU negotiations. He was also interviewed by CTN News TV (Canada) to discuss Brexit and Theresa May's announcement about invoking Article 50.
Dr Daphne Halikiopoulou has carried out over 50 interviews in the past two years, commenting on European elections and the rise of the far right. She has been interviewed by the BBC World Service, BBC Radio Berkshire, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio5Live, Channel 4 News, France24 TV Live News and Bloomberg. Recently she was on a panel on BBC Radio 4 show The Briefing Room: Europe's Illiberal Democracies, to discuss the rise of far right politics in Europe.
Professor Beatrice Heuser appeared on the BBC Radio 4 show Document, to discuss documents showing a possible invasion of Yugoslavia by western powers during the Cold War.
Professor Dominic Zaum provided his reaction live on BBC Berkshire to the final debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump, ahead of the US elections.
