Description

This Computing with Creative Design degree, delivered jointly with Cardiff School of Technologies and Cardiff School of Art and Design, aims to foster students’ development within computing with particular focus on developing the creative and design opportunities that are presented within the discipline.

Additionally, the degree aims to equip students from diverse backgrounds with professional level computing knowledge and skills to gain employment and make a full contribution in a variety of settings, with particular focus on creativity and design within multi-disciplinary teams.

In addition to learning the fundamentals of developing computer based and software driven systems, students will be encouraged to incorporate modern product design thinking into their technical work. This enables students to contextualise their study in a broader technical and societal perspective, and develop as ‘hybrid’ individuals well equipped to bridge the gap between the technical and creative worlds.
